Job Description

Environmental Specialist (Must Relo to Savannah, GA) TeamWRX Atlanta, GA 30309 •Candidates MUST be willing to

for these opportunities• Relo Assistance Available Manage environmental permits and compliance activities for a start-up manufacturing plant, including air permits, pretreatment, NPDES, SID, SWPPP, SPCC, and EPCRA. Review and process environmental permit applications. Develop detailed plans and execute tasks related to environmental permitting. Oversee waste management activities, including reviewing permits and supervising supplier compliance. Conduct permitting reviews for maintenance projects. Perform field examinations and report hazardous locations and materials. Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring implementation of corrective actions. Maintain environmental testing equipment and sampling data from various sources. Manage environmental strategy budgets. Perform statistical analyses, prepare reports, and maintain compliance records while filing required documents with regulatory agencies within stated deadlines. Supervise outside contractors involved in hazardous material removal or testing. Environmental Management Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 14001). Collaborate with plant personnel and management to communicate environmental requirements, address compliance issues, and act as a technical resource. Serve as the liaison between management and regulatory agencies (local, state, and federal) to resolve environmental issues. Provide training to plant personnel on environmental requirements, compliance, and key issues. Prepare and manage contracts with suppliers and consultants for projects and routine activities. Develop and recommend solutions to eliminate pollution and environmental hazards. Conduct research and report findings on current environmental conditions. Update and deliver employee training programs related to hazardous materials and waste.
