brittney.serigny@chouest.com. The environmental coordinator is responsible for performing environmental tasks to ensure compliance with the various federal, state and local regulatory requirements in support of the company vision.
Responsibilities The environmental coordinator:
Maintains environmental practices, policies, procedures and housekeeping standards necessary to support the oil and gas industry, including but not limited to: stormwater, wastewater, used oil and hazardous waste management, spill response, air, DOT, and USCG.
Performs onsite facility inspections to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Prepares reports outlining issues and plans corrective and preventive actions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Requirements
Solid, practical understanding of federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations
Compliance skills to address corrective action in a prudent manner
Ability to provide direction and coaching to influence an effective compliance culture
Organization skills and ablity to manage multiple activities and programs in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form
US work authorization
Qualifications
Related degree/certification preferred
