Summary:

The Point of Care Consultant role is responsible for overseeing the operational and compliance aspects for provider services Point of Care testing under the guidance and direction of the Laboratory Director.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

Knowledge of clinical laboratory functions, practices, and procedures acquired through an Associate’s Degree or higher in a Health Science required.

License/Certifications:

Current certification by a recognized professional organization (ASCP, NCA) preferred.

Experience:

In-depth knowledge of CAP and CLIA regulatory requirements required. In-depth knowledge of Hospital Information and Laboratory Information Systems required.
