Description:
Collects, prepares, and / or analyzes scientific / environmental samples or data to support environmental / engineering programs, studies and analyses. Receives and / or collects routine or special scientific / environmental samples to be analyzed. Operates, calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs various pieces of equipment. Maintains warehouse stock items and manages inventory through software systems. Ability to use tracking software to maintain warehouse inventory. Organized and attention to detail. Self-motivated and an independent worker. Good communication skills (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented focus. 90% of time: Maintain warehouse inventory for the scientific labs. Perform yearly inventories of stock items. Use software to track and maintain appropriate levels of laboratory supplies. 10% of time: Support section and departmental administrative and development functions including special projects and assignments, employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
