A DAY IN THE LIFE

We are seeking an experienced Analyst II to join our PFAS team, specializing in

LC/MS/MS

analysis. This position requires hands-on experience with sample preparation and operation of

LC/MS/MS

instrumentation for the detection of PFAS in environmental matrices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Reporting to the Group Leader, this role supports the Wilmington team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: Perform preparation and quantitative analysis of environmental samples (e.g., water, soil, air) for PFAS using

LC/MS/MS

in accordance with established SOPs and regulatory methods (e.g., EPA Methods 537.1, 533, 1633) Independently operate and maintain

LC/MS/MS

instruments, including tuning, calibration, and troubleshooting Utilize instrument control and data analysis software (e.g., Analyst, MassHunter, TargetLynx, or equivalent) for data acquisition and processing Review analytical data for accuracy and completeness; flag and resolve quality control issues Maintain clear, organized, and accurate records in lab notebooks, data systems, and chain-of-custody documentation Assist in the development and optimization of analytical methods and workflows as needed Collaborate with junior analysts and support their training Participate in routine and non-routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting Follow all lab safety protocols and contribute to a culture of quality and compliance Perform support tasks in with including inventory, sample disposal, organization etc. as needed Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan Other duties as assigned

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Proficient in computers and database software Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field 2-4 years of hands-on laboratory experience, with at least 1 year operating

LC/MS/MS

instrumentation for trace-level environmental analysis Proficient in the use of

LC/MS/MS

software platforms for instrument control and data processing Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data reporting, record keeping, and communication Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Familiarity with EPA methods for PFAS and general QA/QC practices in an environmental lab Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented setting

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with PFAS sample prep and analysis per EPA 537.1, 533, or 1633 Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Experience training or mentoring junior staff Understanding of ISO 17025 or

NELAC/TNI

quality standards

Working Conditions:
