Environmental Specialist II -Temporary Solutions State of North Carolina Wake County, NC Description of Work This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay:

$27.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Environmental Quality. This position is located at 217 W. Jones St., Raleigh, NC 27603. This is a temporary position within the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and will be jointly managed by the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership (APNEP) and the Division of Water Resources (DWR). Together, APNEP and DWR facilitate a multi-partner Steering Committee for the North Carolina Aquatic Nuisance Species Management Plan (NCANSMP), which is a strategic plan for coordinated management, research, and outreach on aquatic nuisance species in the state. The NCANSMP Steering Committee is currently focused on updating the plan to sufficiently meet guidelines required for approval by the federal ANS Task Force. We seek a highly motivated and self-driven individual to assist with this plan revision and approval process. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities /

Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate/motivate others, as needed.
