Environmental Scientist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Environmental Scientist to handle a variety of tasks including conducting environmental investigations and assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing asbestos and lead paint inspections and remediation projects. This role involves field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, XRF testing, data recording, technical support, and report writing. Responsibilities Conduct environmental investigations and assessments ensuring regulatory compliance. Perform asbestos and lead paint inspections and oversee remediation projects. Monitor abatement projects in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct XRF testing and record data accurately. Provide technical support and contribute to report writing. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. 5+ years of experience in Environmental Science. NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector Certification. Asbestos Project Monitor Certification. Air Monitoring Experience. Air Sampling Technician Certification. OSHA 40 Certification.
