Environmental Field Specialist ISG Consultants Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 Job Summary We are seeking an ambitious Environmental Field Specialist to join one of the top consulting firms on Long Island. The Environmental Field Specialist will be responsible for extensive outdoor fieldwork, including groundwater sampling and site inspections, along with office-based tasks such as data interpretation and report preparation. Ideal for those passionate about environmental science and engineering, this role allows you to work in an environment with skilled senior mentors while contributing to meaningful environmental projects. Job Duties and Responsibilities Collect groundwater samples and confirm depth to groundwater at designated sites. Conduct inspections at stormwater outfalls, public works properties, active construction sites, and other environmental sites. Accurately document field obtained data, including sample collection details, site conditions, and other relevant observations. Label and organize groundwater or soil sample jars to ensure proper handling and storage for laboratory analysis. Relay collected data and information back to the main office in a timely and accurate manner. Assist in preparation of field reports and environmental documentation. Complete and submit environmental forms, applications and reports to the regulatory agencies associated with the sites. Utilize ArcGIS for mapping field sites and assisting with environmental data collection. Perform office-based tasks, including data entry interpretation, report writing, and maintaining field records. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Policy, or a related field. 1-3 years of direct experience in environmental fieldwork or a related field. Familiarity with local, state, and federal waterways, wetlands, and stormwater regulatory permit programs preferred. Understanding of NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) and SEQRA (State Environmental Quality Review Act) preferred. Experience with ArcGIS and other environmental mapping tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Adobe for form submission and applications. CAD experience is a plus. Proactive attitude with a strong commitment to environmental health and safety. Ability to lift and carry field equipment, including groundwater sampling gear. OSHA 40-Hour

Certification. Clean, valid driver’s license.
Salary:
