Job Description:
- Independently review gas transmission and distribution projectdesigns to determine potential environmental impacts.
- Identifyenvironmental permits, law, and regulations applicable to gasprojects and effectively communicate requirements to team membersand the business unit as requested.
- Assist in determinations ofenvironmental permit applicability for assigned projects withspecific knowledge of Section 404/401, Section 7, Section 106,Erosion and Sediment Control, and Stormwater Management Programs.
- Assist in preparation of applications to secure environmentalpermits or clearances required for construction as requested.
- Assist in communication of environmental compliance requirementsto, project personnel and field teams.
- Assist in providingtechnical assistance to sites/projects for environmentalcompliance.
- Assist in Preparing and conducting training.
- Assistin project oversight, tracking, data compilation, reporting, andassignment of compliance and permitting tasks forfacilities/projects as requested. The knowledge, skills, abilitiesand experiences required for entry into this job include thefollowing:
- Advanced organizational skills, ability to follow aprocess, work independently and take ownership of project workload.
- Experience with South Carolina Environmental regulatory programs(CWA 401/404, Erosion and Sediment Control, Stormwater Management,Land Disturbance).
- Experience with linear projectdevelopment/execution.
- Basic written and oral communicationskills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,and PowerPoint).
- Basic logic and reasoning skills, to identifystrengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, orapproaches.
- Ability to give full attention to others, to taketime understanding the points being made, and to ask questions.
- Ability to assist with analysis and record keeping.
- Ability toadapt actions.
