ASAP Job Description:

Our client is seeking a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for environmental fieldwork to join their current team and help conduct complaince inspections related to illegal sewage discharges, water quality violations, water wells, and / or fish kills in their local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct field-based compliance inspections at residential sites for potential violations such as illegal sewage discharges, water quality issues, and septic system concerns
Collect and test environmental samples for contaminants like E. coli
Interpret and apply EPA and state environmental regulations to field observations
Prepare and maintain digital reports, permit documentation, and inspection records
Communicate findings clearly and professionally to homeowners, contractors, and internal teams
Assist with investigations into water wells, fish kills, and other ecological concerns

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Soil Science, or a related field
Academic or hands-on experience in one or more of the following: wastewater systems, hydrology, soil science, biodiversity, GIS, geotechnical systems, or environmental regulations
Foundational knowledge of septic systems (SSDS), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and NPDES permitting is a strong plus (training provided)
Prior experience in sample collection or field testing
Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work independently
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods
