August 10, 2022 Purpose of the Position Perform a variety of field and technical tasks associated with the phases of environmental site investigation and remediation under the direction of the project manager. Essential Position Responsibilities Perform groundwater sampling collection at various sites pursuant to government regulations and AET Standard Operating Procedures. Performs operation and maintenance of remedial treatment systems to include monthly scheduled visits, system restarts, trouble shooting for system failures and maintenance/repair of system components. May assist in geological site investigations including groundwater, soil, sediment and surface water sampling under the direction of the project manager. Conducts field oversight of drilling subcontractors including oversight of well installation, soil/groundwater sampling and testing. Assists with physical duties associated with excavations, remediation system installations, remediation system modifications, and site restoration. Coordinates sample packing and shipping to laboratory subcontractor. May operate heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and engage in moderate to heavy lifting. Helps ensure that all activities meet or exceed the customer’s expectations, Company standards, and all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
Physical activities:
Must be on feet for up to 10 hours per day; regular standing, sitting, kneeling, twisting, bending; must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds; must be able to work in extreme hot/cold, wet/dry environment; must be able to perform repetitive motions such as lifting, carrying, shoveling Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Steel toed footwear; hard hat; safety vest; protective eyewear; gloves
