Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30
PM Starting Rate:
$17 an hour with the opportunity for growth and advancement About the Role As an Environmental Restoration Technician, you will be an essential part of our mission to enhance Florida’s natural areas and manage essential stormwater systems. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the environment.
Key Responsibilities Herbicide Application:
Control invasive vegetation with herbicides using tools such as a backpack sprayer, utility vehicle, and all-terrain vehicle.
Environmental Enhancement:
Participate in projects designed to restore and enhance Florida’s natural areas.
Storm Water:
Maintain Storm Water Ponds and Systems to ensure proper operation
Physical Demands:
Carry a 40-pound Herbicide Applicator Backpack, on natural terrain, and operate in water up to waist depth while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). The ability to swim and perform duties without the phobia of wildlife that may be encountered. Being prepared for outdoor work in hot and humid environments to include uneven terrain, and water to depths of 36″ Qualifications A genuine passion for environmental conservation and restoration. Proficiency in working with standard landscaping equipment. Physical fitness to meet the demands of the job. Ability to obtain a FDACS Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (within 90 days) Why Join Us?
