Environmental Technician-1
The ideal candidate will provide the facility with Environmental support to assure compliance with regulatory and corporate EHS requirements. This is specialized work operating and maintaining water treatment and wastewater plants, operating water pumping and treatment systems safely and proficiently.
What you’ll do?
Primary responsibility for collection of environmental samples for compliance determination.
Wastewater collection/treatment (e.g., activated sludge processes, biosolids management, compliance sampling).
Reads meters and gauges, enters data into logbooks and spreadsheets, and completes other records and reports
Conducts facility environmental testing and sampling in accordance with strict regulatory procedures. This may include providing technical training to assist with on-going compliance.
Performs inspections of plant areas to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoots and manages environmental field sampling data using an electronic database.
Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.
Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
Maintains plant equipment
#LI-CW1 What you’ll need:
High School/GED required.
Driver’s License required
1+ years of Environmental Health and Safety experience required.
Entry level Plant Operations knowledge
1 – 2 years Microsoft Office Suite experience
1+ years Environmental and Permitting Regulatory Matters experience preferred
Special Requirements:
Possess Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Drinking Water Plant Operator Class D certifications. Benefits Offered by
