ADON, Staff Development Coordinator, Infection Preventionist (RN) Confidential Naples, FL 34103 As a Assistant Director of Nursing within a Skilled Nursing Facility you will be responsible for providing feedback and ongoing training to all clinical professional (such as other RNs, LPNs, and CNAs). You will also play a fundamental role in the overall support of our clinical staff, by ensuring that all clinical teammates are trained properly so that the facilities can operate with maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities and Summary:
Develop and implement training programs for nursing staff to enhance skills in patient care and infection prevention. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation. Conduct assessments of nursing practices and provide feedback for improvement. Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote best practices in education and training. Monitor patient care standards and provide guidance on medical terminology and records management. Participate in process improvement initiatives with the DON Conduct new hire orientations Conduct competency skills tests and annual reviews for all clinical personnel Infection surveillance, tracking and trending Antibiotic Stewardship Provide skill training for new staff Evaluate in-services training programs and develop NEW initiatives Monitor all clinical certifications, licensure statuses, renewals Advanced Organizational Skills Qualifications Current RN License Strong background in patient care and nursing Proficient in training & development Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation, and records Experience in critical care, nursing homes, or hospitals Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and infection prevention practices Ability to teach and develop staff effectively
