River Garden Hebrew Home has an immediate opening for an experienced Infection Preventionist, Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The Infection Preventionist (IP) position reports directly to the Director of Education. The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the compliance of all applicable rules, regulations and standards that represent “best practice” in long-term care. This position is responsible for the maintaining the Home’s Infection Control and Prevention Program. The Infection Preventionist (IP) RN/LPN is responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections. The IP collaborates with teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies.

Responsibilities:
Implement evidence-based guidelines Program and project management Completion of Risk Assessments pertaining to Infection Control Surveillance data collection and analysis, report writing, and data presentation at Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Committee Conduct ongoing staff development, training and quality assurance performance improvement monitoring to insure adherence with the organizational standards, professional guidelines, state, and federal regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
