Infection Control & Preventionist and Staff Development Coordinator Miami Shores Nursing and Rehabilitation Center 9380 NW 7th Avenue, Miami, FL 33150 RN Infection Control & Preventionist and Staff Development Coordinator RN Joint Commission accredited and 5-Star Rehabilitation and Long term Care facility is looking for an experienced and reliable Registered Nurse to coordinate the facility’s infection program. Responsibilities The Infection Control & Preventionist and Staff Development Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all activities of the infection control and prevention program that meets the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements. He/she will be responsible for supervising and training nursing employees and providing education to residents/patients and their families on infection control and prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to perform their duties with little supervision. He/she must be compassionate and cool-tempered and follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to keep the facility free from infections as much as possible. Provide instant medical care in emergencies Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families. Skills Proven experience as a registered nurse Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures Excellent knowledge of emergency care In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Responsible and compassionate Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills Patient with excellent problem-solving skills BSN or other diploma from a nursing program Valid Florida nursing license and CPR certification.

Job Types:

Full-time, Part-time Pay:

$30.00 – $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
