Infection Prevention Manager Position Available In Dougherty, Georgia

Job Description Summary

JOB SUMMARY

Performs hospital infection control surveillance to identify actual nosocomial infections, clusters, and outbreaks; develops, reviews and implements improved patient care practices for all hospital departments as related to infection control practices; conducts in-service education programs to maintain a high level of infection awareness and prevention and acts as liaison between the Infection Control Committee and all other departments of the hospital . All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
• Performs all job responsibilites in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
• Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
• Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 4

year / Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Allied Health (Required) Master’s Degree in Nursing or Allied Health

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 5 – 6

years demonstrated experience in infection prevention in various clinical specialties (Required) 1 – 2 years healthcare leadership role (project, oversight, lead) (Required)

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES

Preferred Certifications/Licensures:

Certified in Infection Control (CIC)
