Interim Infection Preventionist Needed in Worcester, MA! The Position An Interim Infection Preventionist is needed to lead and manage the Infection Prevention program at a hospital in Massachusetts.
Reporting to the Director of Quality, this leader will oversee one direct report.
Key responsibilities include conducting in-person rounding to maintain program momentum, entering and managing surveillance data in NHSN, leading the Infection Control Committee, ensuring regulatory readiness, and providing staff education on infection prevention best practices.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in infection prevention within an acute care setting, with proven ability to foster accountability and drive cultural change. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.

Compensation Details Compensation Range:

$155,000 to $165,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
