Cordova Wellness & Rehab is seeking a compassionate, reliable Infection Preventionist/Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to join our care team. Infection Preventionist/Staff Development Coordinator Position Summary As the Infection Preventionist/Staff Development Coordinator (RN) at Cordova Wellness & Rehab, you’ll be an essential part of our residents’ care.

Responsibilities include:

Prevent, recognize, and control the onset and spread of infections. Oversee the community’s antibiotic stewardship program. Oversee resident care activities that increase risk of infection. Participate in QAPI and execute infection control risk assessments. Provide education, ensure appropriate parties are notified of reportable diseases, maintain documentation of infection prevention activities, and collaborate in fulfilling requirements related to occupational health and safety. Participate in the completion of facility assessments determining the knowledge and skills required amongst staff to meet resident needs. Plan, schedule, conduct and oversee educational training as well as routine in-services for all staff. Review and update education routinely to reflect the most current guidelines associated to company policy and/or federal guidelines associated with long-term care. Assist with evaluating competencies and maintain all records and reports of trainings and evaluations. Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing. Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
