- SUMMARY
- :
This position is responsible for performing a variety of technical andprofessional job responsibilities related to the management of foodsafety and quality expectations at Tyson Foods’ contract manufacturers.
Specific responsibilities include assessing contract manufacturersuitability and compliance to Tyson requirements. Developing workingrelationships with our external partners to manage consistentconformance to specifications, regulatory requirements and food safetyguidelines. Analyzing and resolving food safety and/or quality issues,product disposition decisions, innovation and documentation compliancein the FoodLogiQ system. This position serves as a food safety andquality resource for the Contract Manufacturing team and is critical inmonitoring compliance of external locations through onsite assessmentsand reporting. The position requires a strong working knowledge ofdiverse plant processes and associated risks. The person must have theability to collaborate with multiple other departments such as R&D andthe Business Unit representatives, while driving activities centeredaround overall improvements in plant performance. This position willreport directly to the Senior Director of FSQA – Contract Manufacturing.
This position will be based in WHQ in Springdale, AR and supports anumber of domestic co-man locations. This Team Member will be expectedto be on-site at the co-man locations up to 40% of the time workingdirectly with the facility teams on compliance to Tyson FSQAExpectations. The position will also partner with Tyson BusinessPartners such as R&D, IPL, Sales, and the BU to communicate on-siteactivities and support business growth as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.
Experience:
3 plus years’ experience; significant experience in foodsafety quality assurance and regulatory compliance; managementexperience in the manufacture of high-risk foods and their processespreferred.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in the following Microsoft products: Excel,Word and PowerPoint; knowledge of various Tyson business softwareprograms.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsrequired in addition to strong presentation skills. Position will beresponsible for effective communication for both internal and externalpartners at a variety of levels.
Special Skills:
Must have good critical thinking and problem-solvingskills. Must be an independent worker capable of consistent engagementgeared towards driving results.
Travel:
Up to 40% travel required.
