Salary:
$110,000-$120,000/year A growing environmental consulting firm is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Geologist or Engineer to join its Environmental Assessment team in Miami-Dade County, Florida . This position is ideal for a seasoned environmental professional with 7–15+ years of consulting experience and in-depth knowledge of Florida environmental regulations , including those of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Miami-Dade County DERM . The role will focus on environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance across a wide variety of land development and regulatory projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) Prepare Contamination Assessment Reports and soil management plans Develop background studies for contaminants of concern and Remedial Action Plans Perform regulatory coordination and ensure compliance with applicable local and state programs Prepare detailed technical reports reviewed by regulatory agencies and legal counsel Support permitting, environmental monitoring, and closure strategies Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and provide guidance and mentorship as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or Civil Engineering (required) Minimum of 8 years of relevant environmental consulting experience Active Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (Florida) Direct experience with Miami-Dade County DERM and FDEP regulations Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills Proven ability to manage time and priorities across multiple active projects Collaborative mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced consulting environment Proficient in standard office and environmental reporting software 9803054
