Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:

This position is in the Corrective Action Group 1 section of the Underground Storage Tank Division within the Office of Environmental Assessment. This position is domiciled in Jefferson parish. The incumbent of this position serves as a team leader for UST corrective action sites throughout the State focused mainly in the New Orleans area. The incumbent will work with the Trust Fund Group to assess and remediate UST sites with the intent to oversee the remediation and ultimately closing out sites.
As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Geologist 1, 2 or 3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. Position-Specific Details:

There is a Special Entrance Rate (SER) for this position, as follows: Geologist 1

  • $22.57 per hour or $1,805.60 biweekly Geologist 2
  • $25.84 per hour or $2,067.20 biweekly Geologist 3
  • $29.

59 per hour or $2,367.20 biweekly
