Your Opportunity An opportunity exists for a Project Scientist/Geologist to work on a variety of site investigation and remediation projects, due diligence assessments, and environmental permitting projects. Learn from an experienced and energetic team of environmental professionals to start your career development. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Learn to and assist with completing Phase I Environmental Site Assessment compliance with the current
ASTM E1527

standard.

  • Assist with and then conduct site inspections for compliance due diligence and remediation during construction phases.
  • Learn to and perform research site histories using environmental databases, GIS resources, historical records, and public files to identify environmental concerns.
  • Coordinating, conducting, and reporting on field work including sediment, soil, soil gas, and groundwater sampling, well and boring installations, stormwater and waste sampling.
  • Assist team leaders with Phase II and Phase III Environmental Site Assessments and subsurface investigations.
  • Assist with conducting field elevation and GIS surveys.
  • Provide geologic, textural, and environmental soil descriptions for soil boring logs, and prepare monitoring well construction and production logs.
  • Compile and interpret analytical data with tables, figures, and graphs.
  • Assist with and conduct ecological field surveys.
  • Draft Phase
I/II/III

summary reports, environmental compliance documents, soil management plans, remedial action plans, and various regulatory program permits for review by team leaders

  • Provide on-site EHS support at client facilities, which may include sampling, inspections, training, etc.
  • Draft reports summarizing periodic environmental monitoring in accordance with permit requirements.
  • Coordinating and communicating effectively with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare draft health and safety plans and follow safety policies. Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certificate for 40-hour
HAZWOPER

training and current or annual 8-hour refresher is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems and skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Mechanically inclined and able to use hand and power tools is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required. Education and Experience
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Soils, Geology, Engineering or related discipline
