Your Role:
Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced As a Senior Geologist in Charlotte, North Carolina , you’ll be at the heart of our projects, handling everything from client communication and project planning to budgeting and report preparation. You will lead and mentor a team of professional geologists, providing guidance, advice, and in-house training to support their professional development and growth. You’ll also lead efforts to bring in new business, expanding our impact. Your work will make a real difference by promoting sustainable resource management and environmental protection. You’ll tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions, inspiring your team and driving our projects to success.
What You’ll Do:
Supervision and Oversight :
Supervise the field and office work of junior staff associated with hydrogeological investigations, environmental evaluations, and sampling.
Design and Technical Recommendations :
Prepare detailed design recommendations for complex or unusual conditions.
Leadership and Staff Development :
Lead teams with varying responsibilities and tasks. Provide counsel, advice, and in-house training to individual staff. Identify training needs.
Project Review and Management :
Serve as an initial reviewer on selected projects as well as independently scope and budget projects and prepare proposal documents.
What We’re Looking For:
A Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a closely related technical field A minimum of 8 years of Geology experience A Professional Geologist (PG) license Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language What to
