Local Contract Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility based in Panama City, FL 32401 . This is a 6-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Pay Range:

$37 per hour

Schedule:

3rd Shift Schedule is 7pm-7am Thursday through Tuesday every other week (6 on 8 off.

Duration:

6 Months + The salary is determined by an individual’s level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold. A successful candidate should possess or be eligible for national certification as an

MT / MLT

from a recognized organization (ASCP or AMT).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform specimen handling, processing, and test analyses in accordance with laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain and document patient test results, ensuring adherence to established quality control policies.
  • Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and review/release test results.
  • Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety regulations in all aspects of testing and reporting.
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting test performance or results, and document corrective actions taken.
  • Ensure timely reporting of critical and STAT results to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all testing performed and reagents/test kits used.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, safety training, and any required regulatory inspections.
Qualifications:
Education:

BS in Medical Technology, or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology. Alternatively, previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433 (published in March 14, 1990).

Experience:

At least one year of clinical experience in high complexity testing is preferred. A minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience is required for candidates with a BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology.

Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks, collaborate with various departments, and provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
