Learn more at The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) isresponsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientificinformation, and education to opinion leaders (OLs), health careprofessionals, and to internal partners as required by scientificand business needs. The Sr. MSL is considered an establishedscientific and clinical knowledge lead on current and futureJ&J Innovative Medicine products per Therapeutic Area (TA)alignment. The Sr. MSL is responsible for staying abreast ofcurrent scientific and treatment landscape trends in theirtherapeutic areas of interest. The Sr. MSL provides researchsupport for company and investigator-initiated research. The Sr MSLwill function with high integrity and follow credo values.
The Sr.
MSL will be responsible for: Building external relationships with identified KOLs and healthcare providers (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.
D., bio coordinators) anddeveloping and managing a geographical territory. Theserelationships and engagements can include both virtual & in-person,with a prioritization of in-person engagements whenappropriate. Developing and maintaining a territory strategic plan, whichincludes educational activities with identified OLs, HCPs,institutions, and community practices. Having a level of competency and experience in the diseasestate. The Sr. MSL is expected to possess foundational competenciesin the areas of Influence & Results Focused, Communication,Stakeholder Engagement, Product & Therapeutic Area Knowledge, andData Insights & Dissemination. Rapidly identify and compliantly collaborate with field-basedpartners to ensure support of the Healthcare Providers which willpositively impact the patients that they care for. To enhance their skills in agility, applying the competenciesof Change Management, Time Management and Innovation. Conducting all activities in accordance with current regulatoryand health care compliance guidelines. Ability to travel, primarily throughout assigned geography,with infrequent meeting travel outside of assigned geography.
Travel for this role is estimated at 60%. Consistently demonstrating strategic territory planning andability to build strong relationships within the territory. Consistently demonstrating strong scientific acumen. Continuously supporting Department Operations and InternalPartners.
QualificationsRequired:
A PharmD, PhD, MD, w/ 2+ years relevant neurology clinicalexperience. 2-3 years MSL experience, and/or 2-3 years relevant work exp(clinical or research experience) and/or related pharmawork.
Preferred:
Knowledge or experience in Neurology, Immunology orNeuromuscular. Launch experience in rare disease. Significant experience giving presentations.
