Category Nuclear Licensing Position Type Full-Time Overview Our Nuclear Services License Renewal Team is seeking a skilled License Renewal TLAA Specialist to ensure safety and regulatory compliance in the nuclear sector. In this role, you will develop and review essential regulatory documents, create and submit filings, and conduct research to stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes. Building strong client relationships is crucial, as is offering valuable input on project timelines and regulatory concerns. Additionally, you will identify new license renewal opportunities, perform time limited aging analysis (TLAA) work, and contribute to the integration of TLAA attributes into license renewals and subsequent renewal applications. This role can be based in the following locations, and can be Full Time, Part Time or LTLB (Contract): Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta)

in License Renewal Responsibilities Imagine a day where you provide crucial regulatory expertise for you team. You’ll dive into independent research, stay ahead of regulatory trends, and build strong client relationships, all while supporting impactful nuclear projects and identifying new business opportunities.

Other duties can include:
TLAA Expertise & Document Management:

Provide regulatory and TLAA expertise to develop and review documents for submittal and/or presentation to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), other regulatory agencies, or clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness of these documents. Review, edit, and organize documents in the preparation for a large and complex nuclear license application, as well as smaller technical submittals, topical reports, and white papers

Research & Analysis:

Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analysis to support TLAA aspects of license renewal. Monitor changing regulatory trends and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, guidelines, practices, and industry standards of the nuclear industry

Client Relations & Business Development:

Build and maintain relationships with clients’ licensing staff, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying proactive opportunities for support. Identify and develop business opportunities to leverage expertise such that ENERCON can perform additional TLAA work, better understand how TLAA work impacts ongoing license renewal work, etc

Project & Program Management:

Provide input to project/program work schedule regarding duration/scope of regulatory issues and the time/scope/effort involved in resolving them in order to implement project. Support/review studies, perform TLAA work, and oversee subcontractors doing TLAA work Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university AND 3+ years of experience in the nuclear industry
Must have license renewal experience in the nuclear industry, specifically experience performing and/or engaged in TLAA work
Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations, regulatory agencies, and the regulatory processes supporting design and licensing of nuclear plants including the documentation that supports these processes
Must possess knowledge and understanding of nuclear power plant design
Preparation of aging management program documents supporting license renewal implementation
Preparation of Integrated Plant Assessments, including the development of scoping, screening and aging management reviews of systems, structures, and components
Evaluation and update of TLAAs relative to the extended operating period
Preparation of License Renewal Applications (LRA) and Subsequent License Renewal Application (SLRA) including FSAR update
Ability to represent ENERCON and/or clients at NRC, United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other regulatory agencies meetings and workshops
Must have strong organizational and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated competencies in technical writing, facilitation, and decision-making
Ability to work in time constraining regulatory environment while maintaining a quality product
Must be able to work productively with other staff, at all levels, in a team environment
Provide direct project support as an individual contributor or team leader
