Main Responsibilities:

• Function as part of a team to develop andapply multiscale computational models of complex diseases based ondetailed biological mechanistic knowledge to support model-informeddrug discovery & development.
• Survey literature to gainunderstanding of critical physiological processes to berepresented, and identify suitable mechanistic elements, data,parameters and assumptions to be included.
• Identify and analyzesuitable internal preclinical and clinical data to inform modelingactivities.
• Analyze simulation results and identify appropriatestrategies to resolve issues pertaining to model performance andaccuracy.
• Maintain extensive documentation of model developmentprocess, and data analysis.
• Maintain quantitative systemspharmacology expertise through comprehensive education

• Communicate modeling predictions to key stakeholders. About You
• PhD with an excellent track record of productivity in the areasof systems pharmacology/biology, computational biology, biomedicalengineering or related field, as manifested by publications andscientific presentations in conferences
• At least 2 years ofPostdoctoral experience in disease modeling/QSP
• Experience indrug discovery/development a plus, especially in bioinformatics orpharmacometrics.
• Proficiency in mathematical modeling usingdifferential equations.
• Extensive experience in computationaltools such as MATLAB, Julia and R (MATLAB preferred).
• Excellentoral and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learnpathophysiology in indications of interest, and treatmentapproaches in immunology.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, andindependent researcher.
• Able to thrive in a collaborative,multi-disciplinary team environment.
