- This is a field-based position covering the New EnglandTerritory (MA, NH, VT, ME, CT, RI, & Upstate NY) through a mix oflive (primary) and virtual channels. Eligible candidates mustreside near a major airport within the territory.
- 7-8 yearsrelated MSL work experience required. (GI Oncology experiencepreferred)
- Oncology MSL experience preferred.
- Previousexperience with product launches and life cycle management.
- Experienced in leading field medical affairs projects and/orinitiatives.
Education / Certifications

- Doctorallevel in the sciences required (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, DPT, Nursingor equivalent) Language (essential):
- Fluent in English.
Summary &Purpose of the
Position:
- The primary responsibility of the SeniorOncology Medical Science Liaison is to serve as a field-basemedical expert within Medical Affairs Organization and engage inmutual scientific exchange.
- Client’s Medical Field teams enhancethe understanding of scientific and medical value of client’soncology/hematology products (marketed and pipeline) with ThoughtLeaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) to further patientoutcomes.
The Senior MSL leverages deep scientific and businessknowledge in life cycle management (LCM) and generates rich thoughtleader insights shared across the organization. The Senior MSLrespond to customer inquiries to ensure focused and balancedclinical and scientific information that supports the appropriateuse of products.
- The Senior MSL works with cross functional teamson business planning, special projects, and strategic developmentto support US Medical Affairs Medical Strategy.
- The Senior MSLadheres to internal standard processes and complies with regulatoryand compliance requirements along with sustaining expertise indisease state management, emerging therapies, and the treatmentlandscape.
Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies:
- Demonstrate deep scientific expertise on client’sOncology/Hematology molecules/products, and therapeutic area toexchange relevant information and insights with thought leaders.
- Build, cultivate and maintain a focused group of regional thoughtleaders to ensure understanding of evolving healthcare trendsacross the relevant therapeutic area landscape.
- Respond to on andoff-label questions with integrity, compliance, and adherence tolegal, regulatory, and client’s guidelines, policies & procedures.
- Represent client’s and US Medical Affairs Team during scientificconferences, continuing medical educational events, and medicalmeetings.
- Gather data and generate scientific insights fromstakeholder interactions and provide feedback to the organizationusing appropriate mechanisms and tools.
- Recognize and capturescientific insights that deepen our understanding of the needs ofthought leaders, healthcare providers, and patients to share withinternal stakeholders.
- Respond to unsolicited requests regardinginterest in investigator sponsored studies (ISS) and supports ISSsubmissions through appropriate internal processes.
- Assist withCompany Sponsored Studies (CSS) from Phase I-IV, includinginvestigator/site identification, site initiation visits andfeedback regarding operational management to ensure optimal siteselection and performance.
- Train and facilitate speakers onclient’s products.
- Build and cultivate working relationshipsacross internal stakeholders (Medical Affairs colleagues, ClinicalOperations, HEOR, R D, Medical Information and Commercial)while maintaining full compliance with relevant company, industry,legal and regulatory requirements.
- Work efficiently and balanceall work to enhance performance and execute local medical planstrategies within specified timelines.
- Participate on committeesor project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics asdelegated by MSL leadership.
- Engage in continuous independentlearning within the therapeutic area and actively attend andparticipate in upskilling programs related to Client molecules,products, disease states and relevant business topics.
