- BiologicsDevelopability Screening and Automation The Biologics CMCDevelopability team is an integral part of the Biologics CMC DrugProduct Development Org. The Biologics CMC Developability team isresponsible for
- (1) the identification of biophysical
- andchemical liabilities in discovery-stage biologic drug candidates toguide lead selection, and (2) for characterization of the key CMCattributes important for biologic drug development.
We have anexciting opportunity for a motivated scientist to join theBiologics CMC Developability team.
Key Responsibilities:
Performin-depth LC-MS based characterization of therapeutic biologicmolecules and their post-translational modifications. Conductbiophysical and biochemical characterization of biologic drugcandidates, as needed. Execute experimental protocols, collectresults, and perform data analysis carefully and independently.
Maintain excellent documentation of work including electronic labnotebook and protocols. Prepare and deliver concise scientificpresentations of experimental results. Oversee maintenance of keylaboratory equipment and routine laboratory operations. Buildstrong relationships with other team members and across groups.
Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code ofconduct, safety, and documentation compliance.
Qualifications:
BSor MS in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry (or equivalent, e.g.,Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences) with 5 (BS) or 2years (MS), or Ph.D. with 0 years of biopharmaceutical industryexperience. Hands-on experience with protein mass-spectrometry(subunit analysis, peptide mapping, disulfide mapping) and dataprocessing is required. Experience with biochemical and biophysicalcharacterization of biologic proteins would be desirable.
Experience with liquid handling robots and their programming wouldbe highly beneficial. Demonstrated track record of independentthinking, creativity, and scientific accomplishment. Highlyresponsible and self-motivated. Skills to plan and conductexperiments with high quality and timely deliverables. Able toperform data analysis using MS Excel & GraphPad. Team player withexcellent collaboration and communication skills.
