The R D Clinical Research Team is seeking a highly motivated onsite Product Advocacy and Publications Strategist with extensive experience delivering impactful presentations and publications of clinical studies in veterinary medicine. In addition to technical writing acumen and project management expertise, the successful candidate will be energetic, inquisitive, and excel in a highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary environment. Key responsibilities of the position include coordinating product-focused publications and collaborating with internal and external partners to drive R D publication strategy and execution.
What you will do:
Create and maintain a publication roadmap for all products across Assay and Instrument R D
Develop a streamlined and standardized approach for manuscript development based on existing R D documentation processes
Serve as a publication project manager and primary technical writer for all manuscripts
Interface with technical contributors to incorporate relevant methodological details into the manuscript drafting process
Work accurately and efficiently with careful attention to detail, progress tracking, and clear communication
Ad to all Equator Network guidelines for enhancing the quality of health research reporting and ensure compliance with all applicable ethical and regulatory requirements
Interface with the Publication Review Process team (R D, Legal, Marketing, Business, Regulatory) for alignment on publication disclosure strategy
Collaborate with Clinical Research Managers and Medical colleagues for incorporation of clinical utility assessment
Perform a variety of Clinical Research activities involving critical thinking, study planning, execution, analysis and study reporting to support the R D Clinical Research Team.
Coordinate product-focused studies for new marker evaluation and engage in Clinical Research collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders and Industry Partners to demonstrate clinical utility of novel markers
Generate publication quality figures and schematic diagrams from a variety of different data platforms and inputs
Create graphical abstracts and publication summaries
Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant veterinary literature in related product areas
Manage all aspects of the peer-reviewed publication process
What you need to succeed:
Doctoral Degree in life sciences required, with dual DVM/PhD degree preferred.
5+ years of prior clinical or pre-clinical research experience and/or related project management experience required.
Extensive publication record including multiple first author publications required, with veterinary publication record preferred.
Driven, accountable, detail-oriented, and flexible.
Skilled at influencing without authority.
Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize, and handle the stress of multiple deadlines.
Outstanding technical writing and communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at varying levels of scientific complexity
Ability to efficiently generate publication-quality figures and diagrams, with proficiency in Adobe Creative suite or comparable software platform
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
Ability to work onsite and cooperatively as part of a team.
Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency with standard statistical approaches and ability to work effectively with statistical consultants as needed.
Organizational skills and ability to plan work.
