Description:

To lead the research, design, and evaluation of innovative digital mental health interventions within an AI-driven platform at Dartmouth College. This position will advance the field of digital therapeutics by developing and validating novel approaches to mental health support that combine artificial intelligence with evidence-based interventions. The role presents an opportunity to shape the future of technology-enabled mental health care through vigorous research, user-centered design, and systematic evaluation of digital interventions targeting student well-being. This is a fulltime, funded position for up to 5 years that depends upon the continued availability of funds.

Key Accountabilities:

Intervention Development and Research (40%) Design evidence-based digital interventions for stress, anxiety, and time management
Develop theoretical frameworks for generative AI-enabled mental health interventions
Create protocols for implementing digital therapeutic components
Lead research on intervention effectiveness and mechanism of change
Conduct systematic literature reviews to inform intervention development
Design and implement user testing protocols
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals
Present at academic conferences and professional meetings
Contribute to grant proposals and research funding applications User-Centered Design and Implementation (30%) Lead co-creation sessions with student participants
Design and implement user feedback collection systems
Analyze user interaction data to inform intervention refinement
Develop user engagement strategies
Create intervention content guidelines and quality metrics
Oversee implementation of user experience improvements
Ensure interventions meet accessibility standards
Document design decisions and implementation processes
Coordinate with technical teams on feature implementation
