Responsibilities The focus ofthe Mohni lab is to understand the molecular basis of virus-hostinteractions in Herpesvirus DNA replication and restriction. Theproject will also involve a variety of molecular biology, cellbiology, tissue culture, proteomics, and biochemical approaches.

The candidate will be expected to lead their own individual projectas well as contributing to collaborative research efforts.

Experience working with viruses or DNA replication/repair ishelpful but not required. “A Research Fellow position in LifeSciences (LS) will require knowledge of either clinical-basedresearch or laboratory-based research often obtained from apostdoctoral program. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is atemporary position intended to provide training and education inresearch. Individuals will train in the research program of a MayoClinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals willdemonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by theirtraining and peer-reviewed publications and should becomecompetitive for national research grants.
