Responsibilities Dr.

Madhuranthakam’s newly established Quantitative Imaging Program inthe Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, has animmediate opening for two postdoctoral research fellows. Theresearch program is focused on the development and evaluation ofnovel magnetic resonance (MR) imaging techniques for improveddiagnosis, prognosis, and therapy response assessment. The researchfellows in this position will primarily focus on quantitativeimaging including arterial spin labeling (ASL) measured noncontrastperfusion, diKusion-weighted imaging (DWI), and fat/water separatedimaging applied across a broad range of anatomies including brain,kidneys, lungs, and whole-body imaging. The candidate must hold aPh.D. degree in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering, Physics orrelated field, and should be within one year of receiving thedegree. Preferred experience includes expertise in Biomedicalimaging with specific emphasis on MR imaging, pulse sequenceprogramming, and MATLAB/Python/C/C++ programming skills. Thecandidate should have a track record of publications, excellentwritten and oral communication skills, and will be expected toparticipate in both independent and collaborative projects. A Research Fellow atMayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide trainingand education in research. Individuals will train in the researchprogram of Dr. Madhuranthakam at Mayo Clinic. Qualified individualswill demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by theirtraining and peer-reviewed publications and should becomecompetitive for national research grants. Upon background check andCCATS Executive Committee approval, Research Fellow may havepatient/research subject contact directly relating to andincidental to the original research program. Proof of Englishproficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, ResearchScholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored byMayo Clinic. Qualifications Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalentdoctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program
