The payrange for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependentupon experience. $29.25 – $44.00 Position Highlights This positionwill perform molecular genetic testing and analysis utilizingmolecular techniques such a DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, fragmentanalysis, Next Generation Sequencing, and other relevant assays.

This position may be eligible for a $15,000 sign on bonus with a 3year commitment. A Brief OverviewPerforms a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures andrelated duties. Utilizes scientific principles as well astechnical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-daylaboratory technical operations, quality control, qualityassurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action,test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuingeducation. What you will do Responsible for the day-to-dayoperations of laboratory instrumentation or disciplines includingbut not limited to: supply inventory, quality control, calibration,reagent preparation, etc. Initiates and follows through withcorrective action. Accurately performs basic to complex clinicallaboratory tests utilizing theoretical knowledge and independentjudgment in addition to established protocol, techniques andequipment manuals. Assumes responsibility for distinguishingbetween normal and abnormal clinical laboratory parameters andtakes actions to assure all abnormals are rechecked. Alertsappropriate staff for abnormal results and documents these actions.

Communicates laboratory data and pertinent technical information toappropriate departments and individuals in an accurate and timelyfashion. Critiques, correlates and differentiates results of testsutilizing theoretical knowledge and independent judgment inaddition to established protocol, techniques and equipment manuals.

Participates with development of protocols, lab manuals, newinstrumentation, lab CQI or other laboratory developmentalactivities. Provides technical guidance to and be primary resourcefor various team members. Responsible for training new employees orco-workers on new equipment/procedures as applicable. Providesinstructions on proper pre-analytical specimen collection, specimenhandling, and storage guidelines for various body fluids and/or maycollect specimens as necessary.
