Customer Support Meteorologist 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 4930 Research Drive NW, Huntsville, AL 35805 Customer Support Meteorologist Baron Weather, an industry leading provider of weather data, display tools, modeling, radars, and hardware solutions is seeking a degreed Meteorologist to join our growing Customer Support Team. The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will focus on providing technical and user support directly to our customers on all Baron solutions, providing input for new software features and testing new software releases, developing high quality and engaging graphical content for our customers, monitoring the timeliness and quality of all data delivered to our customers, and issuing forecast products. We are looking for an individual with a background in and passion for Meteorology, the graphical depiction of weather, and with technical computer skills. Experience in the following is a plus: broadcast television/digital, radar analysis and operational use, basics of software programming and data integration, IT basics, and customer support/relations. Major Responsibilities/Activities Provide remote support services to all of our customers via phone, email, and video calls Perform software and data verification and testing Perform forecasting and data quality control duties Integrate and manipulate datasets for use in our software offerings Provide on-site support services, which could require both domestic and international travel Host training webinars for clients Desire to fulfill our mission of Critical Weather Intelligence We are a 24/7/365 operation, flexibility in schedule will be necessary Minimum Qualifications BS in Meteorology or equivalent from an accredited program or equivalent experience Strong communication skills a must – both written and verbal Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task at a high level Team Player Positive Energy a MUST! Desired Qualifications Experience in data integration and working with various data platforms and technologies Strong technical background and proficiency in programming languages, scripting, and data transformation tools.
