25, Gulfport/Biloxi on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast with 26 miles of white sand beaches is looking for a full-time Meteorologist. At WXXV, you will work in a vacation destination with sunshine year-round. . . a relaxing environment where you can build your Meteorology career. Meteorologists thrive on the varying weather conditions on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Here, you can grow as a Meteorologist and as an on-air talent. We build careers with daily coaching, mentoring, and review of your work. You will work with a Chief Meteorologist who has more than a decade of experience forecasting South Mississippi weather. We’re also looking for a candidate who has strong social media skills and can connect with our viewers on various social media platforms. We currently broadcast seven hours of news each weekday and utilize the Baron Weather software in our weather department. WXXV’s studios are located in Gulfport, Mississippi. Great beaches, Gulf seafood and world-class casinos are a few of the things that make the Mississippi Gulf Coast a tourist destination. We are located between New Orleans and Mobile, just an hour’s drive. A good driving record is a must. We utilize DMV and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
