  • Review and validate air quality data collected from MDEQ’s air monitoring network for criteria pollutants
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control for air quality data sets and certify annually
  • Generate necessary reports involving monitoring data
  • Review equipment/instrument certification records for data validation
  • Write and/or maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures
  • Provide or assist with site/monitor setup, equipment calibration and maintenance, and Regional Office Staff training
  • Other miscellaneous duties related to air monitoring What you’ll need to be Successful A successful candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail, crucial for validating complex air quality datasets and performing rigorous QA/QC procedures.

They will have excellent technical writing skills for generating clear reports and maintaining accurate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The ability to understand monitoring equipment principles, review certification records effectively, and communicate clearly for training and support purposes is essential. Must be proactive, organized, and reliable individual comfortable working both independently on data tasks and collaboratively to support field operations.
