Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Microbiologist to join our team at a leading medical device company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of our products through rigorous microbiological testing and analysis. Responsibilities
- Conduct microbiological testing of medical devices and materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform routine and specialized microbiological assays, including sterility testing, bioburden testing, and endotoxin testing.
- Analyze and interpret microbiological data, preparing detailed reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development, validation, and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
- Develop and implement microbiological protocols and procedures to enhance laboratory efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay current with advancements in microbiology and relevant regulatory requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably within the medical device industry.
- Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques and methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
