Position Summary:

Ourclient is seeking a Microbiologist I to join its Microbiology &Environmental Monitoring team within the Quality department. Thisfull-time, entry-level exempt position supports lab operations,environmental monitoring (EM), and microbiological testing forsterile and non-sterile drug products. The role is ideal forcandidates with 0-2 years of relevant experience in apharmaceutical or cosmetic cGMP lab setting.

Responsibilities:

Perform EM in aseptic manufacturing areas (air, surface, gowningsampling) Collect, incubate, and trend viable and non-viablesamples Conduct water testing (WFI, RO, purified water) andcompressed gas monitoring Perform bacterial endotoxin testing,bioburden, microbial limits, gram staining, and growth promotionSubmit samples for ID and testing to internal or external labsAssist with autoclave operation and basic lab sanitation Enter datainto Excel for trending and compliance documentation Supportgeneral lab operations and prepare for audits Ok to travel locallybetween Piscataway and South Plainfield locations as needed (1x perweek on occasion- once trained)

Requirements:

0-2 years of hands-onmicrobiology lab experience in pharma or cosmetics (food backgroundnot preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, orrelated scientific field Familiarity with aseptic technique andGMP/GLP concepts Basic knowledge of EM, bioburden, or water testingStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingnessto learn Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Nice to
