This position supports a range of laboratory functions within a research setting. The Research Specialist I will perform routine laboratory tests, quality control procedures, instrument maintenance, and documentation. Additional responsibilities include communicating critical or questionable results to appropriate staff and accurately entering data into the laboratory information system. Job Duties:

  • Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments; carry out general administrative lab tasks; prepare labware and materials for experiments and procedures. 30%
  • Carry out quality control and safety assessments including air particle and surface monitoring, endotoxin testing, and mycoplasma testing; assist in general laboratory support functions. 25%
  • Conduct molecular biology techniques such as DNA isolation, PCR, and real-time PCR; perform cell separation from whole blood using density gradient methods; support assays including flow cytometry, ELISA, and co-culture preparation. 10%
  • cleanroom-based cell culture work, including processes related to CAR-T cells and Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) 5%
  • Other duties as assigned.
