JOB DESCRIPTION JOB GOAL
Physical Education Technicians are employed to work independently in technical and/or classroom situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two year degree (AA) from an approved college or a minimum of 60 hours of college level work. Certified in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work independently in technical and/or laboratory situations. Previous experience working with children. Knowledgeable of growth and development. Capable of meeting demands of prolonged physical activity. Ability to organize time, materials and equipment to specific tasks.

Physical Education Teacher or Administrator
SUPERVISES

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead skill drills and administer skill tests to classes as needed to identify strengths and weaknesses. Use technology to better serve the needs of the students and the school. Work as an integral part of the physical education team. Administer the physical fitness test to a class of students as scheduled. Treat students as individuals, but help them function as a team member, serving 25-35 students at a time. Participate in inservice activities as required by the school district. Perform related duties as assigned. Supervise students during Physical Education classes. Follow curriculum set by the assigned Physical Education Teacher. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them form the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Light Work:
Exerting up to pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the District.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
