Additional Information About the Role Missouri Baptist in Sullivan, MO has a full-time opportunity to assist Physical Therapists and PTAs with room set up for inpatient and outpatient, including the hydrotherapy pool . As a Physical Activity Tech, you will maintain inventory of linens, supplies, forms and organizing the clinical environment for safe and effective patient care. Day shift hours 8:30AM – 5PM Overview Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties. The hospital has enhanced and expanded the health care services available to the greater Sullivan community with its state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center.
A 22,500
square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for a variety of visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area. Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital operates four rural health clinics providing quality health care to surrounding communities. In addition, the hospital operates a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers. Physical, occupational and speech therapies are offered at the Sullivan Sports Fitness & Rehabilitation Center, 216 West Main Street. The Center offers a full range of therapies with the equipment and staff to treat children and adults with traumatic head or spinal injuries; cerebral vascular accidents; orthopedic or sports injuries; swallowing or language disorders; and burns. The Center provides an exercise specialist and massage therapist, and operates a fully equipped exercise facility open to the community through memberships. The Physical Rehab Dept is certified by the Missouri State Division of Workers’ Compensation to treat occupational injuries. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides routine, non skilled patient treatments as prescribed by the physician and directed by the licensed therapist or therapist assistant. Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies, forms and organizing the clinical environment for safe and effective patient care. Responsibilities Assists the therapist by performing non-skilled activities that are critical to a patient’s treatment. Transports patients safely and in a timely fashion. Inputs rehab charges, prepares charts, charge sheets and other documentation required for treatment, and creates, complies, maintains and organizes patient handouts and other departmental reports.
