Job Summary:
The Clinical Physicist is responsible for providing direction and patient care management of Medical Physics operations including both routine and special rediotherapy treatment procedures, software and equipment maintenance and educational and research activities. The Clinical Physicist also provides technical expertise regarding the physics of radiation-producing equipment, performance testing, commissioning and radiation safety and protection.
Required Qualifications:
Require a Master’s degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or related field. Require Board eligible by the American Board of Radiology. Must obtain DABR within three (3) years of hire date. Require active/current Medical Physicist licensure by the State of Florida.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer experience with Varian Medical Systems software and equipment, specifically Eclipse, as well as, experience in stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS and SBRT) low-dose rate and high dose rate brachytherapy.
