Description:

Under the Direction of the Medical Physics Director, responsiblefor the design optimization, technical evaluation and precise andaccurate delivery of radiation plans, responsible for the safety ofpatients and staff. May participate in clinical, research andeducational duties, supports and adheres to safety and complianceprogram to include OSHA, HIPAA and the Code of Ethics. Providecontinuing physics support to the department of radiation oncology.

Assist and provide coverage in areas of instrumentation, equipmentcalibration, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation protection,quality assurance, equipment selection and acceptance. Estimatedsalary range for this position is $181997.19 – $236596.35 / yeardepending on experience.

Qualifications:

Masters degree required. PhD in physics from an accredited collegeor university preferred. Must maintain certification and continuingeducation requirements outlined by the American College ofRadiology, current certification in field by American Board ofRadiology or Board of Medical Physics. Must obtain and maintaincertification and valid license for medical physics as required.

Five or more years experience in a large radiation physics program,with multiple machine modalities and services. Three or more yearsexperience in proton therapy is required. Active Florida license asa TRP required.

Minimum Required Experience:

5 years EOE
