$15.2K – $22.6K a year 2 days ago Qualifications American Board of Radiology Certification Doctoral degree Medical Physics 5 years BC/BE Master’s degree Doctor of Philosophy Quality control Physics Senior level American Board of Medical Physics Certification Full Job Description Your job is more than a job The employee in this job reports directly to the: 50% Administrative effort to: Lead alignment of patient radiation treatment processes across LCMC clinics Contribute to strategic planning efforts in radiation oncology and for the oncology service line 50% Clinical effort to: Provide any clinical coverage, as needed, throughout the LCMC system Provide medical physics services for radiation therapy patients as prescribed for the treatment of patients with cancer and other disease requiring radiation therapy. Ensure the quality of care in the use of radiation-producing sources, imaging equipment, and the protection of patients and staff from radiation. Calibrates all radiation therapy equipment, conducts X-ray machine performance surveys, and implements procedures to ensure quality control for electronic imaging devices. Experience Qualifications 5 years of Clinical Medical Physics (residency or beyond)
Educational Qualifications Required:
Master’s Degree Medical Physics, Radiological Physics or related field
Preferred:
Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Radiological Physics or related field Licenses and Certifications Board certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics
