Job Description:

The Therapeutic Physicist Certified facilitates the appropriateuse of x-rays, gamma rays, electrons and other charged particlebeams in the treatment of disease. This role also monitors theperformance of the equipment associated with therapeutic proceduresand applies the standards for the safe use of radiation.

Talent Pool:

Corporate Services/Professional Performs and manages regularly scheduled quality assurance testingof treatment related machines and/or systems. Performs any radiation treatment that requires a therapeuticmedical physicist to be present. Evaluates any computer aided planning and/or calculation forradiation treatment (external beam and brachytherapy). Performs patient related dosimetric measurements to evaluatetreatment quality. Provides consultation to radiation oncologists, clinical staff andpatients if requested. Participates in acceptance and commissioning. Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.

EDUCATION
Required:

Master’s Degree in Medical Physics, Physics, ora related field

EXPERIENCE
Required:

1 year of medical physics experience
