Competitive retirement package to secureyour future. Responsibilities Verifies, documents and maintains allinformation used in calculation and delivery of radiation dosesgiven to patients. Analyzes and evaluates equipment performanceused in the delivery of radiation therapy. Provides technicalassistance and clinical support to Consultant staff and Alliedhealth personnel as needed. Remains current in treatment techniquesand applicable medical physics practice. Provides instruction toresidents, dosimetry staff, therapy staff, pre and postdoctoralstudents. Develops, and performs quality assurance procedures andmonitors radiation output, mechanical integrity and safety ofequipment used in radiation therapy. Remains current on Federal,State, and Institutional safety guidelines. Qualifications • M.S.,M.M.P., D.M.P., or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a masters and/ordoctoral degree in Physics or a related field. American Board ofRadiology, Therapeutic Medical Physics certification orequivalent.
Three years post-degree clinical medical physicsexperience. Is expected to be credentialed in most procedurespracticed in our clinic. • Certified by the American Board ofRadiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics and/or theAmerican Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in Radiation OncologyPhysics
