Metro Chief Medical Physicist Radiation Oncology | Memphis, TN Lead a Multi-Hospital Radiation Oncology Program with State-of-the-Art Technology A nationally recognized cancer center in Memphis, Tennessee , is actively recruiting a Metro Chief Medical Physicist (DABR Certified) to oversee and lead medical physics operations across three hospitals . This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape the clinical, technical, and strategic direction of an advanced and expanding radiation oncology department . This leadership role is ideal for a senior-level physicist ready to lead a regional team , collaborate across disciplines, and champion clinical innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Chief Medical Physicist Multi-Site Leadership Oversee and manage medical physics services across three metro hospitals Lead, mentor, and expand a team currently composed of 3 physicists (growing to 5 at Memphis location) Direct radiation therapy planning, quality assurance (QA), and commissioning efforts Ensure full regulatory compliance with NRC, AAPM, and state radiation safety standards Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and administrators to drive clinical excellence Promote innovation and performance improvement across all sites Advanced Technology & Equipment The department has recently undergone a major technology upgrade and includes: 8 new linear accelerators TrueBeam system (installed within the last 3 years) CyberKnife for stereotactic radiosurgery Bravos High-Dose-Rate (HDR) brachytherapy system Fully integrated Varian ecosystem including Eclipse TPS and
