Job Description:
- We are searching for the best talent to join our team as the Senior Manager R D Global Functions Communications!
This is a hybrid role that will sit out of Titusville or Raritan, NJ office.
Purpose:
The Senior Manager R D Global Functions Communications will serve as a critical member of the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Global Portfolio Communications team. You will play a hands-on role in driving employee engagement and managing strategic communications both internally and externally focused on key business priorities and innovations across our Global Regulatory Affairs and Global Development functions.
Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic communications for J&J Innovative Medicine’s Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) and Global Development (GD) functions, within the Research and Development (R D) organization
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies to advise, empower and engage the internal workforce around both the Global Regulatory Affairs and Global Development strategic business priorities and how we are innovating and delivering against them
- Elevate and integrate the functional narratives to support external storytelling and reputation building programs in partnership with the Global Portfolio Communications team
- Work as a critical team member as part of the broader R D Global Portfolio Communications team. Serves as an expert on change management communications, employee communications, public relations, media, digital engagement, and other communications and public affairs opportunities
- Support various special projects and time-sensitive communications
- Global perspective and successful record of working in a global function, with experience of managing international projects and issues
- Integrate knowledge from internal and external networks; multi-stakeholder insights; and broad understanding of business, competitive and industry priorities to lead the development and efficient implementation of critical communication plans that drive key business and reputation outcomes and craft the environment for the function’s innovations
- Dedicated ability to develop data-driven communication plans, new content, and leadership engagement opportunities that will consistently drive a proactive, thought leadership program
- Eagerness to learn about a quickly evolving space, strong business understanding of competitive and industry priorities that drive business and social value
- Ability to craft and influence business decisions as well as empower, align, and lead project teams, external agencies, and individuals
- Strong experience in developing multimedia content (particular focus on paid and social strategies), insights and analytics, audience segmentation and targeted communications
- Experience in driving earned media opportunities and speaker engagements
- Experience with providing communications counsel and support to senior Company executives
- Ability to measure, track and report progress on communications activations, including demonstrating tangible business outcomes through effective measurement and analytics.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience leading healthcare and/or employee communications in a company, non-government organization (NGO), government agency or public relations agency
- Passionate about communications and bringing new insights and innovative ways to reach and engage internal and external audiences
- Strong project management skills and experience in managing multiple projects on time and within budget
- Inclusive, strong collaborator and teammate who will jump in and get the job done
- You are comfortable learning and working with digital tools to drive engagement and streamline operations
- Strong organizational skills with an appropriate balance of attention to detail and urgency to deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Creative and critical thinking to lead multiple projects, vendors, and budgets to a successful conclusion.

- The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
- The anticipated base pay range is $120,000 to $207,000 USD.
Additional Description for
Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
